Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy

What this policy is for

GE Appliance Repair is an independent, in-home repair service for GE appliances. We are not a retail store and we do not sell boxed appliances. This page covers visit cancellations, labor refunds after a GE repair, and what happens to parts that were ordered or installed. Manufacturer names here describe the machine in your kitchen or laundry room — not factory-authorized status.

Changing or dropping a booked window

If your plans change, call or email us before the technician is on the way. We will cancel or move the GE service visit at no charge when we still have time to stop the dispatch. Same-day cut-offs can be tight in Miami, New York, Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego, so the earlier you tell us, the easier it is to free that slot for another homeowner.

After the technician has started

Once someone is at the address and has begun testing the GE refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher or cooking appliance, the visit is underway. Stopping at that point still used travel time and diagnostic time. The diagnostic charge described on the estimate you were given then applies, even if you decide not to approve the repair.

Labor after a finished repair

If we completed the approved work and the same diagnosed fault is still present, tell us promptly. We will recheck the GE appliance. When we cannot make the approved repair hold, we talk through next steps. That conversation can include a partial or full return of the labor you paid for that job. We look at what was actually done, what failed, and what is still possible on that model.

The diagnostic charge itself

Finding the fault — reading the error code, checking the model plate, testing the likely GE component — is the diagnostic visit. That fee pays for the time and the trip. After the diagnosis is finished it is not refunded if you decline the repair, choose a different shop, or replace the appliance instead.

GE parts: installed, ordered, or still in the box

A part that is already in the appliance cannot be returned as new. If we ordered a GE original part for your approved estimate and it is still unused, the supplier may charge a restocking fee; we will tell you if that applies before we send it back. Any parts warranty is the one that came with that part from the manufacturer or supplier, not a separate store return desk.

How to open a cancellation or refund request

Use the contact page, or reach us directly (by phone at (305) 555-0142 or by email at [email protected]). Give your name, the service address, the appointment date, the GE appliance, and what you need changed. We aim to reply within two business days.
